A year ago I published two short stories through the now-defunct Amazon Shorts program. I had more in the pipe, but finding that pipe stoppered, I've decided to post them here, serially.
The original intent behind these stories was to build up to the opening of VOICE OF THE FALCONER, filling in the eight-year gap between stories. But that was when FALCONER was due out last November. As it seems to be shelved, and as I'm deep in other projects (hence my enduring silence), posting the short stories keeps Verona alive. It may even spur me to complete those I had begun last year.
So in the coming week, keep an eye out. Or if you cannot wait, the shorts are still available on Amazon.
Cheers, DB
I am glad you are doing this because I couldn’t buy any Amazon shorts as I don’t live in the US!
I had no idea this was a problem. Glad I could help, and I hope you enjoy!
By the by, for some reason I am unable to view Historical Tapestries. When I visit the page, I get the title box and the background, but no text. I’ve tried it on three computers so far. So I’m gnashing my teeth over not being able to read all the great stuff I hear about there. Sigh. Maybe when I give in and buy a Mac, I’ll have better luck.
Again, thanks for dropping in, and I hope you like the stories.
I had the same problem. Amazon.com doesn’t connect with Amazon.de when it comes to payment.
Oh, and I can’t visit the Historical Tapestries site, either. I think they use one of those freebie backgrounds from the net and whoever implemented it got the code wrong. That happens – the css code of Blogger is a bit tricky.
What _does_ annoy me is that they are aware of the problem and don’t bother to do something about it.
